willkommen in meiner Welt des kultivierten Eskapismus. Ich bin Ute Hamelmann, Cartoonistin, Künstlerin, Autorin. Hauptberuflich manage ich IT-Projekte bei der Deutschen Bahn. An der Uni Münster habe ich Geschichte, Kunstgeschichte und Politikwissenschaft studiert und trage den hübschen akadamischen Titel Magister Artium, Meisterin der Künste. Auf diesen Seiten findest du ausgewählte Arbeiten von mir. Expressive Ölgemälde, die in meiner Garage entstehen, Essays über das Leben in einem kleinen Dorf im Münsterland und mein neues Stand-Up-Comedy-Programm „Native Westphalian“, mit dem ich dereit auf Tour bin.

welcome to my world of sophisticated escapism! I’m Ute Hamelmann, a cartoonist, artist and author. My main job is managing IT projects at Deutsche Bahn. I studied history, art history and political science at the University of Münster and hold the lovely academic title of Magister Artium, Meisterin der Künste. On these pages you’ll find a selection of my work: expressive oil paintings created in my garage, essays about life in a small village in the Münsterland region, and my new stand-up comedy show ‘Native Westphalian’, which I’m currently touring with.
